CrazyMan injects himself with oil, alcohol to look like Incredible Hulk

People go to the extreme to get what they consider the perfect physique, but Romario dos Santos Alves should be one of the few who top the list for doing the unthinkable to their bodies.

The 25 year old former bouncer in a bid to make his biceps bigger started injecting a deadly mix of oil, alcohol and painkillers.


He got the result he was looking for but it had adverse side effects. "I remember the doctor told me that they would need to amputate both arms — they said everything in there, all my muscles, were rock" said the married father of one.

He was introduced to the addictive habit three years ago by gym buddies. He quickly got addicted to it, and couldn't stop when his muscles turned to rock. He found specialist needles that could penetrate his thick skin that had solidified.

Romario even tricked his wife to inject places he couldn't reach, lying to her that the side effects were not permanent.

When his biceps became 25 inches thick he had to be rushed to the hospital. It was around this time his wife was six months pregnant.

Romario was in constant pain and the doctor told him that they had to amputate both arms. Resigned to fate, he was on his way for his arms to be amputated along with his crying wife when the doctor revealed his arms didn't have to be amputated.

"And then thank God the doctor told me that they did not have to amputate — they could instead remove the rocks which had formed in my arms" he said.

Now undergoing treatment, Romario has promised his wife that he will stay healthy. He admits that he gets the urge to use muscle enhancing drugs even though he has stopped injecting the deadly cocktail, but he remains focused on staying clean.

Learning from his mistakes, Romario says he still wants to be a body builder- the clean way.
