Facing The Law: Couple arraigned by the EFCC over N8.6 scam:A married couple who was arrested for allegedly duping someone of millions of Naira were brought to face the court on Monday.

A married couple who was arrested by men of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been arraigned before a Federal High Court in Rivers State.  
Mr. Nwabueze Nwabueze and Mrs. Bridget Nwabueze were arrested alongside alongside another suspect, Eze Ngozi for allegedly defrauding a certain Austin Emuan of the Gothic-Len Consortium Limited.
The suspects who were on Monday, February 9 arraigned before Justice H. A. Nganjiwa of the Federal High Court, Rivers State, however pleaded not guilty to seven count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretences and conspiracy over N
That you, Nwabueze Nwabueze, alias Ezeugo 1; Bridget Nwabueze, alias Juliet; Ngozi Orji, alias Ben Azua, and others now at large, between September 2011 and March 2013, at Port Harcourt, within the jurisdiction of this court, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit; obtaining money by false pretences and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 8(a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act 2006 and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act,” the charges read.
Justice H. A Nwangjiwa ordered that Mr. Nwabueze and Eze Ngozi be remanded in court while Mrs. Bridget Nwabueze was released on bail to take care of her baby.
The case was adjourned till Monday March 30.
