“This is God who has made Goodluck Jonathan President of Nigeria,” claims Chiedozie Isaiah in his contributon to Naij.com. In the article Isaiah offers his point of view on why President Jonathan is worth being reelected come March 28, 2015.
I would like to address a few issues concerning the state of affairs in our country in the face of approaching elections.
I will also bring to light the reasons behind my greatest desire to see our President, His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, continue to pilot the leadership of this nation, and why I feel that every well-meaning Nigerian owes this great land a goodwill by contributing votes in favor of Dr. GEJ.
I’m writing this piece knowing that my fellow Nigerians, exercising their right to freedom of speech, will air their differing responses in accordance with their own interpretation and understanding of this very complex and sensitive issue. I’m prepared to deal with some negative feedback.
I am not doing this to seek any attention in any form or personal gratification whatsoever. I’m simply expressing my views and convictions as a legitimate citizen, and also exercising my civic and democratic rights.
Every responsible and truthful Nigerian will agree that corruption is a stain in the garment of our country, and has been right from the beginning, even at the time our would-be President was choosing a university to attend.
