Comments on Twitter by users of the social networking platform will in the coming months appear highly on Google searches. This new development is as a result of reported deal which has been signed between Twitter and the search engine.
Instead
of just systematically browsing for data on Twitter as they have
previously done, Google will now have access to the flow of data created
by the microblogging company’s 284 million active users.
This
means that Twitter users will be able to view their live tweets instead
of just the profile information which Google currently shows.
According to Bloomberg sources, the deal between Twitter and Google would not include advertising revenue.
It
has also been reported that engineers from both companies have already
begun the process of designing the new search arrangement.
Twitter CEO Dick Costolo is trying to boost his company’s users to compete with more popular social-media sites like Facebook, with 1.4 billion users, and Instagram, which boasts 300 million users and is also owned by Facebook.
